PATRICK RIVELLIAdvisory Board Biotech & Medical Devices Patrick Rivelli is Founder & CEO of Bioabsorbable Therapeutics Inc. Mr. Rivelli has more than 15 years of experience developing and commercializing medical devices for treatment of vascular disease. He served as co-founder, president and CEO of Smart Therapeutics, Inc., which developed and commercialized the first intracranial stent. Smart was acquired by Boston Scientific in late 2002. Mr. Rivelli previously held several senior positions at Target Therapeutics, Inc. until the company's acquisition by Boston Scientific in 1997 and consulting positions at Guidant Corporation, Endotex Interventional Systems, Pfizer Corporation and Baxter Healthcare. Most recently, Mr. Rivelli has served as a Board member and angel investor for Vascular FX (recently acquired by Micrus Corporation), Chestnut Medical Technologies, and Bay Street Medical. Mr. Rivelli has a BA from Harvard University and an MS in Management from the MIT Sloan School. |
